14-Day Freeride Experience
- Day 1
Pick up group at the airport, drive 2.5 hours to Whistler. Once in Whistler, you will settle into the luxury chalet and then be free to explore Whistler village and valley trails.
- Day 2 - 7
Start with a hearty breakfast and then it is a free day to head off to the world famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park for a day of riding or explore the vast amount of trails in the Whistler valley and enjoy the many avenues of community culture that Whistler has to offer. - Day 8
This of the week of the Interior trip, before leaving Whistler the group will board a helicopter and fly you and your bike to over 6200 feet above the Whistler valley. At the top you will enjoy a hearty lunch and the 360 degree panoramic view. Once the group is full of food and stunning vistas, we descend 2000 feet to the valley, that's over 4000 vertical feet of gravity fed mountain biking. After biking, we load up and head off to Williams Lake, get comfortable it's approximately 4.5 hours. Overnight in Williams Lake.
- Day 9
Located in the middle of the Caribou Plateau, Williams Lake, nick named 'The Puddle,' has some of the best trails and scenery known to man. The next two days of mountain biking will be some of the best you have ever had. Overnight in Williams Lake.
- Day 10
Today is the last day to enjoy 'The Puddle,' but rests assure we will not be riding any of the trails that we did the day before. Williams Lake has four different areas to ride. We will spend the night in Williams Lake.
- Day 11
Leave Williams Lake early morning, sit back and relax during the 3.5 hours drive to Kamloops. Once in Kamloops, get ready to ride Rose Hill, this is where the riding started. Overnight in Kamloops.
- Day 12
Today we ride Harper Mountain, this is one of our favourite spots to ride on the entire trip. It offers something for everybody, ladders, gap jumps and fast epic downhill. Overnight at Harper Mountain.
- Day 13
Today is a big day, in the morning we will pack up early and head for Sun Peaks. Sun Peaks Resort offers up one of the best lift access mountain bike parks in BC. It offers lots of natural terrain and Joyride BikerCross. We will ride the park until closing and then, leave for Kelowna. The drive to Kelowna is approximately 3 hours, everybody should be able to have a nap. Overnight in Kelowna.
- Day 14
After waking up at the edge of Okanagan Lake and filling up with a hearty breakfast, we will take you to ride the gnarly trails on Gillard Mountain. This home of the 50 ft road gap that Steve Romaniuk does 'no footers' over. After a long day on the bike, we will head back to the campsite and spent the night in Kelowna.
- Day 15
Today is the last day; we will pack up the camp and leave Kelowna. We will head back via the beautiful Coquihalla Highway, destination Vancouver. Guests will be dropped off at the airport or a pre-determined location.
Week 1 Accommodations
Our Whistler chalet is near the center of town a short ride from most trail heads, a 5 minute warm-up ride to the mountain bike park, a 10 minute walk or a 3 minute bus ride into the village. The bus stop is right outside and passes by every 15 minutes. It is very comfortably furnished and features ensuite rooms with gas fireplaces, a large lounge and dining area, secure bike storage and a large deck complete with hot tub. The Chalet is a modern, beautifully finished 4 bedroom property. The upstairs is a log beamed open plan living area comprising lounge, dining area and kitchen. The property is finished to the highest specification with fire places in every room, ensuites, heated bathroom floors and a fantastic homely ambiance. Did we mention the Jacuzzi hot tub on the back deck and the fantastic views from the spacious upper BBQ deck? There is secure storage for your bikes, a fully stocked bike maintenance shop and laundry facilities.
The lounge has all the amenities; log beamed vaulted ceilings, spacious leather sofa's, cable TV and a stereo.
Week 2 Camping
During the week of exploring the interior of BC, the group will be staying in campgrounds. The entire week will be fully catered and camp based living. We will provide all the camp supplies, chairs, cooking equipment and tents. For hygienic reasons we ask all of our guests to provide their own sleeping bag and camp pad. If you do not want to purchase these items or you do not want to travel with them, we can arrange for you to rent them for the week.
