INTRODUCTION
Hi my name is Brian and this is Michael, I would like to speak on a more serious note right now. We are going to ride (name of trail) and I want everyone to have fun today but at the same time ride safe and ride smart.
TRIP SPECIFICS
Today we will be riding (name of trail). The weather is (describe weather). We will be riding until around 1 pm at which time we will be stopping for lunch that will be provided for you. We will then ride until around 4 pm, we will then return you to your campsite (home, hotel, accommodation…) and prepare dinner.
INHERENT DANGERS
There are inherent dangers of mountain biking that will involve the risk of injury. You control the degree of risk. Do not attempt any of the trails or features unless you have sufficient ability and skill to do so safely. Always ride in control and within your ability level. If you are unsure of anything walk your bike. If you don't feel you can ride a certain section, walk your bike. There will always be a lead guide (Michael or Brian) and a tail guide. Please do not pass the lead guide or fall behind the tail guide. Leave lots of space between riders and if we stop, pull off to the side of the trail.
PARTICIPANTS' RESPONSIBILITIES/ EMERGENCY PROCEDURES AND FIRST AID
If you happened to fall, or notice any bike related mechanical problems, as minor as it seems, let one of us know. If there is an emergency The guides are trained in outdoor first aid, have cell phones and can arrange for emergency help on the trail. If a guide should ask you for assistance please help as much as possible. Please stay together and don't ride ahead. Worst case scenario. If one of the guides should happen to get hurt we have first aid kits in our guide packs and carry cell phones in our short pockets we ask that if you are not trained in first aid or are not comfortable with helping in this situation, pass of the responsibility to an experienced first aider or call 911.
ASSESS THE PARTICIPANT
We will be riding for several hours and you will be expected to carry your own water, food and tools during the entire day. We expect you are in good physical fitness and free of any medical conditions that would inhibit your ability to ride safely and within control.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
You can mention to me in private of any medical conditions you may have. Absolutely no alcohol or non-prescription drugs will be taken before or during the days ride.

WAIVER
You all have read, understood and signed a waiver form that will be kept for seven (7) years in our storage facility.
CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
I recommend full face helmets, gloves specific to mountain biking, leg, arm and body armor to be worn the entire time you are riding. Shorts and a mountain bike jersey are also recommended. I recommend a dual suspension mountain bike with at least 5 inches of travel, disc brakes and tires suitable to the terrain. Make sure your bike is tuned by a professional prior to the trip as well as inspected before each ride.
CLOSING
I can't stress enough to ride within your limits but at the same time have fun. Is everything clear or are there any questions?
