Company
West Coast Freeride Guides, Ltd. strives to provide all mountain bike enthusiasts with the ultimate freeride vacation. The company was co-founded in 2003 with a desire to increase their standard of living, to create an avenue to play while they work and share their love for mountain biking. WCFG's mission is simple...to provide the best riding experience in a safe and fun environment.
WCFG is based in the small and only resort municipality in North America, Whistler, BC Canada . Named for the hoary marmots that live in the area, Whistler was incorporated as a district resort municipality, and has a permanent population of approximately 9,965. Whistler is a small resort village nestled in the rainforest along the coast of British Columbia . Whistler got its international start in late 60's, early 70's in the sport of downhill skiing. Over the years Whistler has captured an overwhelming piece of the skiing market and has in the last 10 years shifted some of their focus to the summer months. Now Whistler is also known around the world as a destination for mountain bike holidays. People are travelling from all corners of the world with their bikes to ride the diverse trail network in the valley and the high speed lift assisted trails on the mountain. Along with riding, Whistler is great place to sightsee and get involved in mountain life and culture. Whistler has an award winning pedestrian village with endless shopping and scenic outdoor pubs to sit back relax and have a refreshing beer in the summer heat. If biking is not your thing, then you can go for a hike, sit at the beach, take in the many festivals, eco tours or motorized adventures. In the end Whistler has something to offer every member of the family, non-adrenalin to adrenalin junkies.
All of our trips are designed for the mountain bike enthusiasts, with the emphasis on intermediate to advanced riders. All adventures will showcase the lifestyle and culture of the mountain biking communities in British Columbia. Plus, our goal is to stimulate, inspire and create memories that will last a lifetime. The province of British Columbia is extremely beautiful, and we hope to share it with you. With West Coast Freeride Guides you will ride away with new friendships and experience.
